  • Apply multiplexed targeted metabolomics methods by liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS) to monitor metabolic pathways and biomarkers in biological samples from in vivo and in vitro experiments to support Biomedical Research projects
  • This may include the development and implementation of new LC-MS methods to quantify endogenous metabolites and drugs in biofluids, tissues and cell culture
  • As an asset, perform biochemical and enzymatic assays to investigate mechanisms of toxicity as well as in vitro cell culture experiments with cell lines and complex cellular systems
  • Manage study timelines and objectives, ensure accuracy and quality of generated data, document experiments and results in electronic systems and write reports
  • Communicate study results and data interpretation to cross-functional teams
    • University Degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, Analytical Chemistry or related field with multiple years of relevant work experience or completed apprenticeship as laboratory technician
    • Strong hands-on experience in liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (e.g. with Agilent™ 1290UHPLC coupled to ABSciex QTRAP 6500™) based quantification (MRM mode) of small endogenous metabolites, biomarkers and/or drugs in biological samples
    • A solid knowledge of biochemistry, endogenous metabolic pathways, principles of toxicology, enzymatic assays and/or in vitro cell culture experience is highly valued
    • Curious mindset, strong team player
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential
    • Proficiency in German or French is considered beneficial
    • Previous software experience with AnalystTM, GraphPad PrismTM, SpotfireTM
