UAS Safety Engineer

Support the development team in defining functions, architectures and requirements in the UAS development cycle
Validation and verification of functions within the UAS development cycle
Create and update a safety programme plan according to customer and regulatory requirements
Working closely with various engineering teams (avionics, propulsion, structure, software, flight control) to ensure safety requirements are met
Planning and execution of all activities according to the safety programme plan
Familiarity with UAS systems, constraints and procedures as well as safety related customer and regulatory requirements
Perform functional hazard analyses, system safety assessments and fault tree analyses in the safety assessment processRequirements
University degree in engineering or extensive experience in conducting safety assessments in the aviation sector
Professional experience in conducting assessments
Familiarity with ARP4761 and other relevant safety assessment guidelines
Knowledge of European UAS regulations is advantageous
Strong skills in MS Office and Excel, ideally also with knowledge of Ansys Medini
Very good command of EnglishServices
