Software Engineer Embedded Java

  • You are responsible for developing Java Online Service components within an embedded system
  • The online services are connecting the car to backend services and the car internal functions
  • Create clear object oriented design to ensure security and robustness within our products
  • Cooperate on API design to ensure maximum developer experience
  • Build high quality Java components from first design sketch to deployment of unit and component tested jars
  • Assess, plan and develop based on concepts and requirements in close interaction with other development teams constantly improving cross-team interaction
  • Evaluate your software modules in close collaboration with the Architecture and System Teams
    • Successfully completed studies in the field of computer science, security science, electrical engineering, physics or comparable studies
    • Profound experience in software engineering and SW development - knowledge in Java is necessary
    • Profound experience with software design (UML) and systematic automated testing
    • Profound experience with version management tools (preferred is knowledge in Git)
    • Experience with embedded systems in an automotive environment
    • Preferred experience in development in agile frameworks
    • Fluent English language skills (oral and written), German language skills advantageous
