About the Role

We have an incredible opportunity for you to join our culinary team and continue the legacy of providing our guests with outstanding dining experiences. As part of this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the hotel's Kitchen team, managing day-to-day activities in our outlets, and supporting the team to achieve our purpose.

This dynamic role offers the chance to develop your hospitality career within an international company.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Oversee food preparation, purchasing, and menu planning in line with Hyatt's standards and the hotel's business plan.

• Maintain high levels of kitchen hygiene to comply with occupational health and safety regulations, working closely with your team.

• Develop and inspire new cooking methods to enhance cuisine, staying updated on food and beverage developments.

• Recruit, select, train, and motivate the kitchen team, contributing to the development of Hyatt's next generation of leaders.

Qualifications:

• Experience as Executive Chef in a large five star hotel.

• Relevant Culinary degree or similar

• Proven experience in compiling menus, recipes and presentation of food

• Exceptional communication, time management and people skills with the ability to lead a team

• Strong focus on food safety systems including HACCP

• The confidence to promote ideas and make sound decisions under pressure

• The flexibility to work on a 24/7 rotating roster including public holidays.
