Industrial Engineer

Job Description:

As the Industrial Engineer you will support the Wodonga Supply team in Operational Excellence delivery.

You'll monitor factory performances and variance analysis, making recommendations relating to capacity, cost and continuous improvement.

You'll also support the Focused Improvement (FI) pillar team to efficiently process data and define focused initiatives within Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) that delivers step change improvements for the site.

This role enables the pillar team to fast track the site's strategy by enhancing data analysis, accelerating action plans, owning technically challenging workstreams and fostering collaboration with other MSE pillar teams.

• Role model the use and application of the Mars Quality Principle and the Mars Global Quality Standards

• Role model the application of Mars safety standards to safeguard our associates and the assets we use.

• Support cross functional teams with analytics, focused on improving our conversion processes to reduce our COGS or improve factory efficiency

• Work with shift-based Associates in Wodonga, actioning losses based on TRS efficiency analysis and the Operation Excellence roadmap

• Maintain the main supply KPIs for the site to direct business improvement priorities (KPI's), SIG, Q&FS, TRS, FATR, COGS

• Assist in consolidating all site input for global supply benchmarking reports

• Working with NQC/Usage & SIG Environmental/NQC Leads, to deliver initiatives that drive reductions in factory NQC (Non-Quality Costs/Usage)

• Function as an active MSE FI pillar team member (Mars Supply Excellence - Focused Improvement Pillar)

• Support the FI Pillar team leader in performing data analysis and in delivering recommendations to the site for reducing losses

• Collaborate with all MSE pillar teams and operator teams in promoting focused improvement in their specific spheres.

• Present Focused Improvement recommendation to shift manager/area manager and site SOG meetings

• Experience in supply, demand or quality roles. Ideally within FMCG or Manufacturing environments

• A sound understanding of manufacturing technologies and supply standards

• Exceptional communication/interpersonal skills

• Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office Skills

• Experience in TPM/Lean tools and techniques (preferred)

• Experience in Engineering/Project Management (preferred, not essential)
