Self-Insurance Specialist

Marsh is currently seeking a client focused individual to join our team in Adelaide as a Self-Insurance Specialist.

JLT Risk Solutions (a Marsh McLennan business) is a leading risk, safety, claims and strategy advisor to clients nationwide.  Due to continued growth, we are looking for a dedicated Self-Insurance Specialist to join our Injury Management team to provide end to end workers compensation claims management services, along with being the senior staff member responsible for the ongoing maintenance of our various client relationships. 

We will count on you to:

• End to end workers compensation claims management services for our valued clients.
• Prepare recommendations on claims liability to our clients and guide them through the return to work process with the aim of maximising capacity and reducing lost time.
• Provide proactive review of claims liability, make determinations, and offer advisory services to facilitate early return to work and minimise lost time injuries
• Implement early intervention strategies and engage with return to work services to support injured workers.
• Prepare for, attend and contribute to Tribunal matters.
• Participate in medical case conferences as required.
• Perform all duties in accordance with the Return-to-Work Act 2014, Regulations, and the Code of Conduct for Self-Insurers
• Provide advice to clients concerning their self-insurance arrangements and opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to the identification and integration of new clients.

What you need to have: 

• Extensive experience in the field of workers compensation, ideally with a focus on end-to-end claims management, demonstrating your expertise in managing complex cases.
• Previous experience in self-insurance.
• Exceptional client relationship management skills, allowing you to establish trust and rapport with clients, injured workers, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, enabling you to effectively convey information and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Ability to prepare written reports and case summaries as required.
• Willingness to travel to metropolitan and regional locations as required.
