Length of contract: 12 Months
Contract extensions: 2 x 12 months

Rates: $130 - $160 per hour (inc. super)
Services Australia is seeking a Delivery Manager who will use their in-depth knowledge in project and programme management to deliver medium and large sized IT programs on Services Australia's SAP platforms. They will provide expert delivery management advice on delivery management work on these platforms. They will be required to work closely with key third party suppliers to ensure the provision of a robust infrastructure capability to the business and will consult with architecture and other shared services areas when required to ensure the security of the day-to-day technical operations.
The Delivery Manager will operate with a significant degree of independence and will work under the broad guidance of a section Director to deliver quality outcomes. They operate with a high level of autonomy, with decision-making highly dependent on their own judgement. Some out of hours work may be required. Occasional weekend availability will be required to manage the deployments during maintenance release windows.
Key duties may include, but are not limited to:
Managing technical teams and partnering with multiple vendors to achieve a combined outcome.
Experience in transforming SAP products, including but not limited to, SAP CRM, PSCD, ERP, HANA and S/4 HANA etc.
Experience working in Services Australia across both Infrastructure and Applications areas. Experience in transforming SAP on-premises to cloud platforms.
Work with both the Project and BAU teams to administer and coordinate a range of activities and act as a point of contact for stakeholders to ensure timely and effective communication.
Utilise the project and sustainment dashboards to track tasks and projects in progress across the team.
Assist the section Director in managing governance and finance requirements for relevant deliverable items.
Demonstrate personal resilience and flexibility to deal with ambiguity, conflicting priorities, and a challenging environment.
Work under pressure with close attention to detail, organise priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
Experience working in Federal Government agencies specifically managing deliveries related to data platform specific applications and solutions.
Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by the section Director
Primary Knowledge/Skills/Systems/Tools required for role include:
- Delivery Management, Infrastructure Change and Project Management
Essential Criteria
Must have a minimum 5 years' experience in delivery management in complex IT environments.
Must have experience in SAP products including CRM, PSCD, ERP, S/4HANA.
Delivery management experience with a large government agency.
Desirable Criteria
Track record of successful delivery of programs in SAP related applications/ platforms /solutions.
Experience in preparing, negotiating, and socialising delivery timelines and schedules.
Report on deliverables and project progress to leadership including SES Band 1 and above.
Stakeholder engagement, negotiation, mentoring and team management capabilities.
Experience in presenting information and communicating expectations across conflicting priorities/workloads and a challenging environment.
PMP or PRINCE2 certification.
