The Opportunity 

  

An exciting opportunity has opened for a Planning and Approvals Specialist to join our SA Water partnership working across land use and environmental planning.  We will consider strong skills in either or both of these areas along with relevant transferable skills and work history.   The role will see you provide input, advice and expertise on planning and approvals across land use changes, soil, contamination, water courses, habitats and flora and fauna. 

Our projects are major civil engineering works focused on water pipelines and treatment plants.  You will submit planning approvals, compile reports and submit legislative documents across all planning and environmental impacts facing the civil works and engineering activity. 

 

This is a small team having a major impact on the community.  Your role will provide critical advice on social and environmental impact.  Other diutues will involve but not be limited to: 

 

  • Delivering assigned tasks and projects including development of environmental impact assessments, environmental approval applications and other environmental studies and management plans 

  • Provide input, advice and expertise on environmental matters and planning studies into KBRâs engineering and infrastructure projects 

  • Apply relevant Commonwealth, State and Local legislation, policies and guidelines. 

  • Produce high quality professional reports and deliverables 

  • Development and presentation of land use planning advice, options and recommendations based on appropriate analysis of planning policy, engineering, environmental, economic, social, political, operational and risk factors..  

  • Prepare, coordinate and manage development applications for major water projects with varying complexity and scales.
