Our Key Venues section oversees all of our aquatic and leisure centres. We deliver first-class activity and program choices, promote Blacktown City as the leader in sport, recreation, and leisure, and give every visitor and customer a safe and memorable experience. Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope is an award-winning multi-purpose facility that offers high-quality programs and services. It includes an indoor aquatic centre with 25 metre 10-lane lap pool, a wave pool, program pool, a 4-court stadium, and 16-court tennis complex, as well as a health and fitness centre, crèche, and function room facilities.
We are looking for motivated and customer-focused people to join our team at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope as casual Catering Assistants.
Position purpose:
The role includes:
- Maintaining the highest quality of catering service, providing a safe, clean and enjoyable experience for all visitors
- Maintaining all usage and storage of kitchen and servery equipment.
If you have experience in a similar role and are an excellent multi-tasker who prides themselves on their customer service skills, then this is the role for you
Qualifications and experience
Essential:
- Current Working With Children Check
- Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Availability to work flexible working hours.
Desirable:
- Experience in a similar environment
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Current class C driver’s licence.
Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
- Entry level for this position starts at $27.6463 per hour plus 25% casual loading
- Penalty rates apply for weekend shifts
- Trainee rates apply for applicants under 19 years of age
- Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 11.5% employer superannuation contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
