About the team – The Sports Intelligence & Analytics team leverages data to enhance athlete performance and deliver a competitive advantage to Australia’s high-performance system. The team delivers data engineering, data analytics, data science and data governance support and leads the administration of the Athlete Management System for the Australian high-performance system.
About the role – Work closely with the Principal Data Engineer and the Manager of Sports Intelligence and Analytics, to lead and manage all phases of the Athlete Management System (AMS) across the national high-performance system. The position’s primary task is to manage the national implementation of a system to monitor high performance athletes and ensure that the data produced will provide decision support for athletes, coaches, scientists / clinicians and the AIS Executive.
About you -
- Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Computing or Project Management.
- Demonstrated Experience in PRINCE2, PMBOK, ITIL and COBIT certification; Scrum Master Certification;
- Demonstrated in-depth systems delivery experience, specifically in health/laboratory information management systems environments.
- Experience with: business intelligence software, visual analytics software, database management including SQL querying; and one or a combination of BI/DW mainstream toolsets (i.e. Oracle, Cognos, Business Objects, SAS, SAP, DataStage, Informatica, Hyperion, Postgress).
- Demonstrated record of providing leadership and management to achieve high personal and team performance and meet organisational and business objectives.
- Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making.
- Demonstrated experience in managing financial resources, risk management, business planning and strategy development.
This position is offered as an ongoing position.
