Package Specialist

As an Application Package Specialist, you'll help clients in the selection, implementation, and production support of application packaged solutions. You'll gain in-depth consulting skills, business knowledge, and packaged solution expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into the clients' business environment. Your Role and Responsibilities

Technical Specialists in this job role have expertise in implementing, integrating, and customizing commercial Independent Software Vendor (ISV) packages such as CRM, ERP, Finance, Accounting, or vertical industry-specific packages. The ISV Software Technical Specialist is characterized by a combination of general development knowledge with package knowledge and the specific domain to which the package relates. Typical examples of the deliverables are functional and technical designs, models, components, code, parameters, unit tests, and documentation. Technical Specialists who primarily apply their technical skills in an internal or external customer billable services and implementation environment.

Environment: Professional knowledge related to incumbent's function/business unit and its processes. Communication/Negotiation: Advises other professionals. Effectively utilize group dynamics. Negotiates to define approaches and goals.

Problem Solving: Recognizes complex problems related to functional objectives. Applies creativity and judgment to developmental work on different projects within the business environment. Analyzes situations and implement solutions, or develop new system elements, procedures or processes.

Contribution/Leadership: Provides ongoing technical/operational guidance to lead professional work teams, conducts special projects, or manages department(s) (national or international). Understands department/ functional mission and vision. Utilizes expertise to directly influence people outside department or function. Sometimes no precedent exists. Defines and decides objectives within specified business concept or project and may have responsibility for tools and assigned resources.
