Your Role
Joining as a Reserving Actuary Specialist in our Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) Reserving team focused on our CGU brand, you'll play a key role in enabling the team's purpose to support better strategic decisions through technical analysis of past experience and current trends to create insights into the future.

As a Reserving Actuary Specialist, you'll drive change by re-defining processes and support IIA in modelling and advising on the valuation of insurance liabilities and risk-based capital.

This role will focus on Commercial Liability and will require strong communication, including the ability to discuss technical concepts simply and influence key decision makers.

This is a permanent, full-time role and we welcome applicants from all major cities in Australia.

About You
  • FIAA qualified
  • Significant experience in the analysis of complex data within the General Insurance market and within Actuarial roles.
  • Practical experience in Reserving, ideally long-tail portfolio's (preferred)
  • Experience using analytical software such as SAS, Excel, R, SQL or Python
  • Great communication with experience mentoring and coaching teammates.
