The Pathways Wellbeing & Education Coordinator role is responsible for providing ongoing support to the Manly Sea Eagles Pathways players. You will guide these individuals and provide them with the necessary resources and support for their education, career development and wellbeing so they can reach their whole person potential.
Key Responsibilites
- Deliver NRL mandatory Wellbeing & Careerwise workshops for;
- NSW Cup (Blacktown Workers)
- Manly Sea Eagles Pathways Teams
- Develop and deliver Wellbeing & Careerwise initiatives or programs to pathways teams.
- Meet with NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg players for conversations about their Wellbeing & Careers;
- Annual interview
- Follow up 1 on 1 check-ins
- Attend training nights and games of pathways teams (SG Ball & Harold Matthews squads) weekly to have broad conversations with players regarding wellbeing.
- Utilise Wellbeing resources such as short heat maps & MHC to assist with these conversations where required.
- Assistance with Career Coaching for Female Pathways teams
- Track and monitor levels of player Wellbeing & Education engagement via the NRLWELFED database and provide reports as required.
- Assist MWSE Wellbeing, Education & Careers Manager with the Wellbeing or career engagement levels of young NRL contracted players.
- Conduct a Pasifika cultural engagement workshop with the Club. This can be with the support of David Solomona (NRL)
Welfare Support
- Understand the Mental Health Support network for any referral situations, and communicate this to players where required.
- Utilise wellbeing resources such as Mental Health Continuum to assist with these conversations where required.
Key Outcomes
- Effective Wellbeing support & counselling of athletes
- Effective delivery of mandatory and flexible NRL workshops to pathways teams.
- Effective Career coaching of athletes as required
- Ensure effective delivery and communication of Mental Health support Programs
- Monitor Organisation’s athletes’ Wellbeing, and act as referral point for EAP and specialist mental health providers
- Ensure timely collection and accurate entry of all relevant data into Wellbeing & Learning Management System
