About the role
The People Culture and Standards Division works in partnership with all Divisions within the Department and beyond to promote and instil good governance and ethical conduct in line with the Department's mission, principles and values. The PCS Division provides a central and safe environment to report unethical behaviour across the Department and responds to a range of integrity, behavioural, performance, competency and conduct issues. PCS is comprised of the:
- Management Engagement and Intervention (MEI) Directorate
- Professional Standards (PS) Directorate
- Performance Assurance and Risk (PAR) Directorate
The Senior Intelligence Analyst is responsible for overseeing and contributing to the analytical function of Professional Standards (PS) through review and analysis of a wide range of investigation matters undertaken by the Directorate. The role includes high-level analysis of incoming security and intelligence reporting, as well as analytical support to matters under assessment.
The Senior Intelligence Analyst conducts a range of analytical research and contributes to the development of disciplinary investigations relating to minor and serious misconduct for all departmental staff and contractors within the Department, with a particular focus on the complex, high-profile and contentious environment of Corrective Services.
In addition, the position provides analytical advice and support to the Screening team and Professional Standards Intelligence team to allow for professional Standards objectives and outputs.
