Education Manager - Hospitality, Cookery and Bakery

Salary: $118,182 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading.
Time Fraction: Full Time, 1.0 EFT.
Location: Waverley campus – onsite parking and close proximity to public transport.
WWCC: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check.
Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check.
Position Status: Contract of employment until 31 December 2025.

Lead and shape the future of hospitality, cookery, and bakery education in this key leadership role at Holmesglen. As the Education Manager, you will provide strategic and educational leadership to drive departmental growth, innovation, and excellence in program delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement educational and business strategies to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Lead curriculum design, review, and implementation to ensure high-quality, industry-relevant training.
  • Oversee adherence to ASQA standards, funding agreements, and regulatory requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with industry partners, business clients, and internal teams to enhance program offerings.
  • Support recruitment, induction, and professional development of teaching staff.
  • Manage enrolments, monitor student progress, and oversee budgets to meet business targets.
  • Drive innovation in program delivery, assessment methodologies, and student support services.

ABOUT YOU

  • Proven experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve educational, operational, and business outcomes.
  • Strong understanding of ASQA compliance requirements, the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF), and related documentation management.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating adult education solutions, including curriculum and course development.
  • Current industry experience with tertiary qualifications in Hospitality/Cookery/Bakery, with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment - TAE 40122 or equivalent predecessor or successor.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with industry stakeholders and clients.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and leading change management processes.
