OES is a vibrant and values-led organisation, and we are passionate about enhancing lives through education. We partner with universities, training institutes, and professional bodies worldwide to develop and deliver world-class online degrees. We empower our teams to be student-focused, innovative, and embrace change with a growth mindset to ensure we achieve our vision of being the world’s most impactful enabler of education. We encourage our people to grow and develop through teamwork and a diverse range of projects, programs, and challenging work. We trust our people to deliver, so when you work with OES, you will join a team that is empowered to impact every day.

About the role

As the Associate Director of Corporate Strategy, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of Online Education Services (OES). Reporting to the Director of Corporate Strategy, you will lead key initiatives to craft and execute our aspirational strategy, enabling OES to grow its core business and respond effectively to emerging opportunities in the dynamic education landscape. This role combines strategic planning, market analysis, and stakeholder engagement, requiring you to prepare insightful decision-making materials, evaluate growth opportunities, and drive cross-functional collaboration. If you are passionate about innovation and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact.

About you
  • 10+ years’ experience working in corporate strategy roles within a leading strategic consulting firm or a major, world-class business with a track record of sustainable growth, with at least 5 years of experience working in senior Corporate Strategy roles.
  • Commercial acumen: understands the practical challenges of getting things done within an organisation, ideally honed through experience in an operational role.
  • Highly developed conceptual reasoning capabilities, problem-solving skills, and quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.
  • Comfort with ambiguity: can work from a ‘blank sheet of paper’, thrives on creating certainty from uncertainty.
  • Communication skills: able to clearly and concisely convey information in a well-structured manner to a variety of audiences, in either verbal or written form. Able to listen well, tell compelling stories, influence, and persuade others.
  • Leadership: action-oriented, outcome-focused, and able to run a project from start to finish with only light-touch guidance.
  • Teamwork: collaborative, low ego, brings others on the journey.
What’s in it for you?

Along with joining a passionate, energetic, and highly skilled team, this role will allow you to gain exposure to many growth and development opportunities. OES offers a hybrid, flexible approach to work, where we work 2-3 days from our state-of-the-art Cremorne office, and the rest from home (or wherever you choose). Breakfast, snacks, table tennis, and Nintendo Switch are all available in the office, as well as an in-house massage therapist and weekly staff drinks. Ultimately, you will be joining a values-driven, collaborative business where your creativity and innovation will be nurtured and celebrated.

  • Flexible work for genuine career-life fit.
  • Professional development and mentoring.
  • OES Culture Club and events calendar.
  • Health and wellbeing activities.
  • Paid parental leave.
  • Purchased leave (up to 10 extra days).
  • Travel & Work policy.
  • Annual leave in advance.
  • Study assistance and leave for eligible employees.
  • Mental health support resources and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
  • Income protection insurance (after 12 months).
  • Discounted corporate health insurance.
  • Lunch & Learn Program.
  • Weekly drinks in-office.
  • Daily breakfast bar for office-based employees.
  • On-site Massages Available for Booking.
  • Coffee Roulette Program.
