Lead maintenance operations as a Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Services Manager to join our team. In this crucial role, you will provide governance and authorisation for maintenance and support services across various ground-based systems. You will oversee the execution of maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with Maintenance Policy, Maintenance Management Plans, and LMA Value Stream process suites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of the Maintenance and Operating Support Framework for ground-based systems at both business and program levels.
- Develop Strategy for operational and advanced maintenance for ground-based systems.
- Ensure maintenance activities are sufficiently resourced and conducted to meet approved standards, methods, and practices.
- Support the career pathway development and learning environment for the maintenance workforce within ground programs.
- Provide Maintenance Management delegation to programs as outlined in the LMA Maintenance Support Policy.
- Oversee training, qualifications, formal assessments, and authorisations for operations staff in air vehicle line and base maintenance.
- Support in developing and maintaining ground system Maintenance Support policies, processes, and tools.
- Mentor and guide maintenance personnel across the business.
- Ensure outsourced maintenance complies with approved procedures and standards.
- Act as the Responsible Manager for programs operating under DASR or similar frameworks.
Prerequisites:
- Extensive experience in logistics and maintenance management in a Defence environment.
- Expert technical expertise in the maintenance of ground-based systems such as radars and deployable elements.
- Significant experience in Maintenance and/or Integrated Logistics Support (ILS).
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring a team within a Maintenance/ILS environment.
- Proficiency in Maintenance/Asset Management Systems (e.g., MEX, Maximo, CAMM2, MILIS).
- Knowledge of maintenance activities in accordance with the relevant regulatory frameworks.
- Maintenance management experience in air, simulator, naval, or army environments.
- Advanced experience with sustainment systems.
- Familiarity with ISO9001 Quality Management and ISO55001 Asset Management standards.
- Experience with supportability analysis.
- Supply Support experience in a Defence environment.
- Previous experience in formal delegation of authorities in a maintenance environment.
