Head housekeeper

Schwartz Family Co. Pty Limited ATF Schwartz Family Trust trading as Paradise Resort Gold Coast is currently looking for a Head Housekeeper.

The successful candidate will be assisting the Executive Housekeeping Manager to manage all operational aspects of the Housekeeping department.

The successful applicant will possess the ability to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and efficiently take corrective action. Communicate outcomes to the required departments and follow up with guests as required.
• Assist the Executive Housekeeper in the supervision and coordination of the work activities of the Housekeeping team, such as training employees, assigning work duties and disciplining individuals when required.
• Examine all parts of the Resort to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and make recommendations to the Executive Housekeeper or Rooms Division Manager.
• Evaluate employee performance, recording evaluations on appropriate forms.
• Conduct orientation training using the Housekeeping Policies & Procedures to assist in the explanation policies and work procedures for all new employees.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Previous leadership experience in housekeeping
• Strong understanding of manual handling and safe work practices
• Experience working with Optii (Housekeeping software) (desirable)
