Pirtek Oil and Gas requires an experienced leader with a strong track record of success to join the team as General Manager, reporting to the Pirtek Oil and Gas Board. The Role
The purpose of this role is to lead all aspects of Pirtek Oil and Gas, driving profitable growth and operational excellence in the supply of hose, fittings, ironworks, and associated services to the oil and gas industry. Role responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing long term strategic plans, aligned with the overall company goals and objectives;
- Driving business growth, including conducting market research and analysis, developing and implementing marketing and sales strategies (in conjunction with key stakeholders), and leading the development of new service offerings;
- Leadership - developing and managing existing team members to foster collaboration, growth, and productivity, while providing ongoing support, feedback, and talent acquisition as needed;
- Financial management, including budgeting, monitoring and controlling costs, analysing financial performance metrics, and preparing and presenting monthly reports;
- Operational excellence, including streamlining operations to improve efficiency, identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and overseeing maintenance and upkeep of equipment and facilities.
You
To be considered for this position, you will ideally possess:
- Strong understanding of the oil and gas industry, with expertise in hose, fitting, and ironwork applications;
- Proven track record in leading and motivating high-performing teams in commercial or industrial settings;
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders;
- Leadership abilities encompassing effective delegation, fostering a positive workplace culture, and managing employee performance;
- Proficiency in business fundamentals, including financial management, budgeting, and forecasting;
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans aligned with company goals for financial growth;
- Analytical skills to assess market trends, identify growth opportunities, and make data-driven decisions;
- Ability to grasp technical concepts, communicate effectively with technical staff and customers, and utilize relevant business software and technology tools.
