Secured with a long-term lease and equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, they are poised to launch a local glass manufacturing business. Their aim is to become a leading force in the Australian market by delivering high-quality products coupled with outstanding service.
Your new role
As the Operations Manager, you will be integral to the business, playing a pivotal role in building and leading a team while overseeing the establishment of the new factory. This position is ideal for someone eager to contribute to the setup of a new facility and support the company's foundational growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the establishment of our architectural glass manufacturing division, overseeing the installation of new equipment and the initiation of operations.
- Oversee the integration and management of our newly acquired window and door business.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive online presence strategy, including the creation of a company website and the implementation of digital marketing initiatives to drive sales.
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team to support business operations.
- Establish and enforce health and safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with AS1288, the National Construction Code (NCC), and other relevant Australian Standards and performance requirements.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders and clients to drive sales and expand market reach.
- Monitor and manage daily business operations to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the glass, window, door, or construction industry.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical application of the National Construction Code (NCC), AS1288, and other relevant Australian Standards and performance requirements.
- Proven leadership abilities with experience in managing teams and operations.
- Demonstrated success in driving sales and building customer relationships.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in Australia.
- Well-connected within the architectural glass, window, or door industry, with an extensive network of contacts.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Competitive salary of $150,000 plus superannuation.
- The bonus scheme is tied to revenue generation for the company.
