Ihr persönlicher Spielraum

Das Institut für Publizistik- und Kommunikationswissenschaft zählt zu den größten und forschungsstärksten kommunikationswissenschaftlichen Instituten weltweit. Es gelangt eine Stelle als Senior Scientist (postdoc) im Arbeitsbereich Werbung und Medienpsychologie zur Ausschreibung. Die Advertising & Media Psychology Research Group beschäftigt sich mit dem Einfluss der modernen Medienlandschaft auf den Denkprozess, das Verhalten und die Meinung von Menschen, wobei sowohl quantitative, als auch qualitative Methoden zum Einsatz kommen. Gesucht wird ein Senior Scientist mit mehrjähriger Erfahrung in sozialwissenschaftlichem Forschungs- und Labormanagement, hervorragenden Kenntnissen der quantitativen Methoden (insbesondere Experimentalforschung, Eye-Tracking-Forschung) sowie der statistischen Datenanalyse.

Die Stelle wird im Ausmaß von 40 Stunden/Woche (100%) für den Zeitraum der Abwesenheit der*s Stelleninhaber*in ausgeschrieben.

Das machen Sie konkret

Sie beteiligen sich aktiv an Forschung & Administration, das bedeutet:

  • Mitarbeit am Management des Forschungslabor der Abteilung Werbeforschung und Medienpsychologie
  • Organisation, Koordination und Durchführung verschiedener Datenerhebungen in Zusammenarbeit mit Professor Matthes in den Bereichen Persuasionsforschung/Medienpsychologie, insbesondere zum Themengebiet der digitalen Medien (z.B. Experimente, Panelumfragen, Inhaltsanalysen, Eye-Tracking)
  • (Internationale) Publikations- und Vortragstätigkeit in den Bereichen persuasive Kommunikation, Werbung und digitale Medien
  • Vorschläge und Entwicklung neuer Forschungsprojekte und Einwerbung von Drittmitteln
  • Support bei der Betreuung der studentischen Mitarbeiter*innen und der Abwicklung von eingeworbenen Drittmittelprojekten
  • Tätigkeiten im Bereich der Third Mission und Wissenschaftskommunikation
  • Mitwirkung an Evaluierungsmaßnahmen und in der Qualitätssicherung
  • Mitwirkung in der Forschungs-, Lehr- und Institutsadministration
Das gehört zu Ihrer Persönlichkeit
  • Abgeschlossenes Doktorat/PhD der Studienrichtung Publizistik- und Kommunikationswissenschaft oder vergleichbarer Disziplin.
  • Kenntnisse im Bereich Werbeforschung und/oder strategische politische Kommunikation und Persuasionsforschung.
  • Fundierte Kenntnisse der Methoden der empirischen Sozialforschung, insbesondere von quantitativen Methoden und statistischer Datenanalyse sowie der Programme SPSS und/oder R.
  • Mehrjährige Erfahrung im Forschungsmanagement, wie z.B. im Management von Drittmittelprojekten und Forschungsdaten.
  • Forschung in hochrangigen, international sichtbaren Zeitschriften publiziert.
  • Erfahrung in der Einwerbung von Drittmittelprojekten und Projektabwicklung.
  • Erfahrung in den Bereichen Wissenschaftskommunikation und Third Mission.
  • Exzellente Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift.
  • Teamfähigkeit und ausgeprägte Organisationsfähigkeiten.

Befristeter Vertrag und faires Gehalt: Das Brutto-Grundgehalt für die ausgeschriebene Position beträgt derzeit (2025, inklusive Gehaltsvalorisierung ab 02/2025) in der Gehaltsgruppe B1 lit. b (postdoc) monatlich € 4.932,90 (auf Basis Vollzeit). Das Grundgehalt kann sich erhöhen, wenn wir tätigkeitsbezogene Vorerfahrungen anrechnen können. Der Vertrag ist auf die Dauer der Abwesenheit der*s Stelleninhaber*in befristet.
