About the role

Join us as the Digital Channels Lead, a transformative and pivotal role within our organization. In this position, you will be responsible for defining, planning, and executing the mid- to long-term product vision and strategy for our digital channels. Reporting directly to the Head of Everyday Banking & Digital, you will lead a dynamic, cross-functional agile team of 7 talented professionals.
As the Digital Channels Lead, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our digital services, implementing best practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Your work will play an integral role in positioning our bank as a leader in digital innovation, ultimately enhancing member satisfaction and loyalty.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent the voice of the member and translate strategic decisions into actionable plans and objectives for your team.
  • Define and develop the digital product vision, objectives, and roadmap based on member needs and industry trends.
  • Lead the operations of a cross-functional agile delivery team, mentoring and supporting team members in their growth and performance.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders during the product vision and concept development stages.
  • Analyse performance data to inform decision-making and ensure alignment with business strategy.
  • Act as an ambassador for the Digital and Innovation department, managing communications and queries related to products.
About You

You are an industry expert and a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of digital banking and customer experience. You possess strong leadership skills and have a proven track record of managing successful teams and projects. Your ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels will be key to your success in this role.

Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in digital, agile methodologies, and scrum management, preferably in financial services.
  • 5 years’ experience in people leadership, with a focus on cross-functional collaboration.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, with a proven record of optimizing efficiencies and delivering on commercial outcomes.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective teamwork across organizational boundaries.
