About the Role

We have a rare opportunity for an experienced and passionate Early Childhood professional to join our team as Director, starting immediately.

This part-time role (24 hours per week over three days) offers the chance to lead and inspire a team while delivering a high-quality early childhood program that supports the growth and wellbeing of every child.

As Director, you will act as the Responsible Person for the kindergarten, overseeing daily operations in collaboration with the Lady Gowrie QLD support team. You'll play a key role in fostering a positive and professional work environment while ensuring the ongoing success of our education and care program.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in early childhood education (ACECQA approved).
  • Queensland College of Teachers registration (or willingness to discuss a pathway to registration).
  • Prior experience in early childhood or prep settings and in a leadership role (e.g., Service Manager, Responsible Person, Nominated Supervisor).
  • Strong leadership skills, including staff management and performance appraisals.
  • Passion for creating engaging and child-centred learning environments.
  • Ability to meet the individual needs of children while fostering a strong group dynamic.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, Early Years Learning Framework, and National Quality Framework.
  • Current Blue Card/Exemption Card.
  • Current First Aid & CPR, including Asthma & Anaphylaxis training.
