  • Maintain the existing digital pathology ecosystem to ensure it meets evolving technology needs.
  • System Configuration
    • Modify and configure systems as defined by requirements and technical design documents.
  • End-to-End Testing
    • Perform comprehensive testing to guarantee continuous and reliable service operation.
  • Technical Collaboration
    • Partner with the principal software developer to design and implement new features related to metadata management, data classification, and transfer.
  • API Development
    • Develop new APIs and build robust data and permission models for both internal and external systems.
  • Process Optimization
    • Promote and enforce best development practices, including coding standards and regular code reviews.
  • Database Integration
    • Integrate with existing databases and third-party applications to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Leverage the AWS cloud environment for development, including integration with external accounts.
Requirements
  • Possess excellent Java development skills to build robust enterprise-level applications.
  • Spring Boot Proficiency
    • Demonstrate strong experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot for rapid application development.
  • Have proven experience in writing unit tests and performing integration testing to ensure high application quality.
  • Exhibit strong capabilities working within Linux development environments.
  • Be familiar with a wide range of AWS services and frameworks, including S3, ECS, Lambda, EC2, and SQS/SNS, for efficient cloud integration.
  • Show good knowledge of GitLab CI pipelines and CI/CD concepts to support continuous integration and deployment.
  • Understand event-driven architectures and Pub/Sub systems to design responsive, scalable solutions.
  • Containerization Skills
    • Possess a solid understanding of Docker for containerization and application deployment.
  • DevOps & Scripting
    • Be comfortable with DevOps practices and able to write scripts and procedures for efficient deployment processes.
  • Database Expertise
    • Have good knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and DynamoDB.
  • Familiarity with AWS SAM and other AWS frameworks is desirable to enhance development efficiency.
  • An understanding of Python is a plus to support cross-functional development tasks.
