Job Summary

This role involves planning and coordinating the delivery of specialized work packages involving IM/ICT, ensuring solutions delivered are responsive to customer needs and sustainable in an enterprise environment. The focus is on coordinating engagement work packages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and report on project performance against agreed criteria through monthly initiative reports.
  • Monitor resources and expenditure within the agreed work package budgets against the project forecasts.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues by documenting, reviewing and escalating them as appropriate, with a focus on engagement activities.
  • Ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools in line with Queensland Health policy.
  • Maintain relationships with and between internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communications and fostering relationships through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
  • Produce high quality written papers and presentations, as well as providing administrative support for the My Health Record Steering Committee.
Assessment Criteria
  • Demonstrate experience in an IM/ICT project environment, including planning, risk management, reporting, budgeting and project closure, and an ability to plan and coordinate the delivery of specialized work packages (SFIA Skill: PRMG: Level 4).
  • Show knowledge and application of appropriate project management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2), and provide sound advice and recommendations on the use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools (SFIA Skill: METL: Level 4).
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate business change decision-making processes and activities, and the planning and implementation of change (SFIA Skill: RLMT: Level 5).
  • Exhibit effective consultation, facilitation, written and oral communication skills for use in a complex program/project environment (NHS: Effective and strategic influencing).
  • Demonstrate analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and a proven ability to work in a team environment developing effective working relationships with team members (NHS: Collaborative working).
Working Conditions
  • Travel: Employees may be required to undertake travel, including consecutive overnight absences (up to two weeks), and work in any other location in Queensland as determined by business needs and may be requested at short notice.
  • Variable hours: Weekend and afterhours work may be required (at various locations in Queensland as determined by business needs) and may be requested at short notice.
  • Qualifications: Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification would be well regarded (Prince2 or Agile Project Management).
