Senior Site Reliability Engineer (m/f/x)

Job Description
  1. Design, implement, and maintain highly reliable and scalable infrastructure and services using cloud platforms (e.g. GCP).
  2. Develop and apply best practices for system reliability, monitoring, and incident response.
  3. Automate repetitive tasks using tools such as Terraform, Ansible and SaltStack.
  4. Conduct root cause analysis of system failures and implement corrective actions.
  5. Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of services using CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Gitlab).
  6. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of system architecture, processes, and procedures.
  7. Establish and monitor Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to ensure system reliability using monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
  8. Perform capacity planning and optimization to handle growth and scale.
  9. Lead incident management and post-mortem processes to ensure continuous improvement.
  10. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies related to site reliability engineering.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. 5+ years of experience as an SRE, DevOps Engineer, or similar role.
  3. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure (specifically GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  4. Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (Java, Python, Go, Bash).
  5. Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Fluentd, Splunk).
  6. Solid knowledge of networking (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP), security best practices (SSL/TLS, firewalls, IAM), and system administration (Linux, Windows).
  7. Experience with Incident Management and its tools (Jira, ServiceNow).
  8. Familiarity with database management systems (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
  9. Knowledge of version control systems (Git, SVN).
  10. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (Gitlab).
  11. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  12. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  13. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
