About The Role

The Pre-Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the design and procurement stages of construction projects, ensuring timely planning, budgeting, and procurement. Ultimately, the Pre-Construction Manager ensures that all pre-construction activities are completed with high client satisfaction, efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards.

Here are some examples of what you'll do

  1. Oversee contracts, approvals and resourcing (workflow & capacity)
  2. Maintain client relationships and deliver positive client experiences
  3. Manage client expectations on budget, program, design and quality
  4. Liaise with Subcontractors, Estimators, Services Installation and Construction teams
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with additional key groups including the project Consultant Team, Administrators & Site Managers
  6. Manage workflow, including work scheduling, document control protocols, cost control and HSEQ site set up
  7. Provide construction and financial project updates and reporting against agreed budgets/forecast

Here is what will make you ideal for the role

  1. A minimum of 5+ years Project Management experience, preferably with a Design and Construct Company
  2. Ideally workspace fit-out experience
  3. Working knowledge of IT Systems such as Word, Excel, MS Project and ideally an ERP management tool (e.g. Procore/ACC/Viewpoint)
  4. Experience working closely with the Sales team (bid approach, attending the pitch)
  5. Formal qualifications in Project Management or Construction Management are preferred but not essential
