About the Projects

Penny Gold is a project based approximately 150km south-east of Mt Magnet and approximately 550km north-east of Perth in Western Australia. With continued operations and further growth, we are looking for 2 Leading Hand Fitters to join the team. Penny is a small site with about 70 personnel on site including maintenance, giving you the opportunity to expand your skills.

The Scotia Project is located in Norseman in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, approximately 725km east of Perth, 200 km south of Kalgoorlie, and 200 km north of Esperance. Redpath have commenced a 3-year development and production contract. The Scotia Project has great camp facilities based in the main street of Norseman approximately 25 minutes from site.

The Bullen Project is located in Norseman in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia, approximately 725km east of Perth, 200 km south of Kalgoorlie, and 200 km north of Esperance. Redpath have commenced a 13-month rehabilitation contract with goals for further growth. The Bullen Project has great camp facilities based in the main street of Norseman approximately 5 minutes from site.

About the role:

• Manage and allocate correct resource to scheduled and planned maintenance.
• Ensure all work allocated for the crew is carried out, equipment is statutory compliant, all breakdowns are fixed in a timely manner and all work is done to a high safety standard.
• Assist fitters with the mechanical, hydraulic diagnosis and repair of faults when required.
• Investigate ICAM incidents as required.
• Working with underground mining equipment, particularly heavy mobile and shotcrete equipment.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs to a fleet of large mobile plant.
• Fault finding, repairing and/or replacing components as required.
• Maintain plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulations and site requirements.
• Participate in ICAM accident investigations as required.
• Attend and contribute to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks, safety meetings, roster change and shift change meetings when required.

Senior Leading Hand Fitter - 8 days on, 6 days off

Fitter - 7 nights on, 7 days on, 14 days off OR 7 nights on, 7 days on, 7 days off

Drill Fitter - 7 nights on, 7 days on, 14 days off

Fitter - 8 days on, 6 days off

The ideal candidate will come from a heavy vehicle background, with a goal to develop or continue their career in underground mining.

• Heavy vehicle/diesel fitting trade qualification.
• Hold a valid Australian Drivers Licence + able to obtain a National Police Check within 3 months.
• Able to contribute and work well within a supportive and dynamic crew culture.
• A work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto Consider it done — safely.
