Junior Underwriting Manager (f/m/d)Part-time: Starting from 20 hours per week

We are looking for a motivated individual who is ready to take ownership in our underwriting processes. You'll play a key role in evaluating merchant applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting a seamless onboarding process for our partners.

What you'll do:

  • Independently identify and investigate suspicious transactions and analyze the sales, transaction, and chargeback behavior of our merchants
  • Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) checks in compliance with regulatory, risk, and compliance standards
  • Act as a contact person for merchants, banks, and payment providers in cases of suspected fraud
  • Process chargebacks and alerts, as well as manage alert monitoring activities
  • Handle merchant registrations with banks and payment providers and support contractual negotiations with new providers
  • Collaborate with merchants, banks, and payment providers as a key interface
  • Review regulatory and risk-specific criteria for merchant acceptance
  • Perform risk assessments and create risk profiles

Your profile:

  • Successfully completed studies with a focus on economics, business informatics or a comparable qualification
  • Experience in a similar position (payment processing and/or fraud prevention) is an advantage
  • Negotiable English and German skills are required
  • You are not afraid of complex challenges and can think in a networked and analytical manner
  • Very good MS Office skills (especially MS Excel) and an affinity for numbers
  • Discretion, the ability to work independently and a strong sense of responsibility come naturally to you

  • Of course, you will receive a competitive remuneration package, which we will be happy to discuss with you personally. For legal reasons we have to indicate the gross annual salary which starts at EUR 33.300,00 (full-time).
