Alumni Development Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Alumni Development Lead to join our team at our Head Office located in Helensvale. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the leadership capability of Yalari Scholars and Alumni. This role requires experience working with young people and in particular Indigenous youth in an educational setting. Strong cultural awareness, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team are crucial.
For almost 20 years, Yalari has been changing the lives of Indigenous children from remote and regional communities, by providing scholarships to Australia's leading boarding schools.
Over that time, we have developed and refined the support programs that help our students achieve academically, keep them motivated to succeed, connect them with their culture and each other and, most importantly, inspire them to 'pay it forward' by helping others to follow in their footsteps.
After graduation, our alumni continue to be powerfully connected to each other and the Yalari community. With access to programs to support leadership, professional and personal growth, our alumni are empowered to grow and develop as both leaders and professionals in community, business and Australia.

ResponsibilitiesThe Alumni Development Lead will be responsible for:
- Managing the Alumni Council Program and its schedule of regular meetings.
- Coordinating the design and delivery of uplift projects in two Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island communities.
- Working closely with Camps and Activities Coordinator to staff the Outback Camps with suitable Alumni.
- Developing and delivering the Yalari Internship program (internal to Yalari).
- Developing and implementing the Yalari Public Speaking Program – Amplify.
- Developing and implementing the Yalari Corporate Art and RAP advice framework.
Relevant experience or qualifications working in a learning and development role, leadership development or training advantageous but not essential.
