An opportunity exists within our growing cheese processing & packaging operation based at Adelaide Airport.
Our product processing team work in a fast-paced environment, whilst adhering to strict quality and food safety guidelines. This position requires a highly diligent candidate with strong attention to detail to oversee and manage daily production operations.
As a Product Processing Manager you will be responsible for managing the scheduling & production of the cutting, weighing, packaging & labelling of our cheese products in a timely manner, and importantly in accordance with approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, procedures and HACCP regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Oversee and manage daily production operations
- Ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with food safety regulations
- Lead, train, and motivate production teams for optimal performance
- Monitor inventory, reduce waste, and optimize production processes
- Implement and maintain HACCP, GMP, and other food safety standards
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, logistics, and quality assurance teams
- Analyse data and make strategic decisions to improve productivity
- Ensure quality procedures are adhered to, e.g., traceability
- Stock rotation
- Assist with stocktake
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and quality standards
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Excellent presentation & personal hygiene
- Ability to strictly follow all regulations, SOPs, policies and procedures
- Ability to strictly adhere to Work, Health and Safety regulations
- Ability to work in a coldroom environment
- Maintain regular housekeeping to keep the area clean and tidy.
- A desire to learn & develop new skills
- Must be comfortable with physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving products up to 20kg
- Proven ability to problem-solve
- High level of self-motivation and initiative
- Flexibility with working hours – including occasional weekends & public holidays
