Job Description

This organisation is looking to add to their team to support them through this busy part of their year. This is an opportunity to work within a team environment and to contribute to this department's success whilst collaborating across a wide variety of clients.

The role of an Auditor requires the following duties:

  • Lead and project manage multiple audit engagements ensuring the timely, effective and efficient achievement of objectives including meeting cost budgets;
  • Lead and manage staff and activities to ensure adherence to policies, procedures, relevant legislative requirements and auditing standards;
  • Exercise professional judgement and ensure quality documentation and analysis to support audit conclusions and opinions;
  • Develop innovative approaches to audit and organisational improvement opportunities to achieve excellence in client service and cost-effective operations;
  • Build team capability to meet current and future demands through effective coaching, mentoring and professional development strategies;
  • Ensure adherence to the organisation's audit methodology, relevant Australian Auditing and Accounting Standards and knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS); and
  • Promote and model the established core values.

The role of a Senior Auditor requires the following duties:

  • Coordinate the day-to-day running and project management of lower risk audits;
  • Identify significant audit matters and contribute to their resolution, including client reporting;
  • Support the supervision, direction and review of the team's working papers and the work of experts to ensure consistent quality, application of effective audit methodology and compliance with Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards;
  • Contribute to the delivery of the program of work including scoping, delivery and reporting on the engagement, and supporting resourcing and budgeting; and
  • Ensure adherence to the department's audit methodology, Australian Auditing and Assurance Standards and Australian Accounting Standards.
