A leading integrated construction materials company producing and supplying a wide range of products that are essential for the built environment, backed by rigorous quality management certifications. The company plays a crucial role in the construction of roads, bridges, tunnels, buildings, and other infrastructure across the country.

About the Role

This is a customer-facing position that requires active engagement with both prospects and existing clients in the field. The role demands a proactive approach to business development, fostering and expanding accounts while navigating a highly competitive and price-sensitive market. The role is responsible for managing existing accounts and driving new business growth across the commercial and industrial segments within the Gold Coast and South West Brisbane region. It requires a "hunter" who also enjoys account management, with the ability to manage pricing negotiations, objections, and rejections effectively. Key clients include Tier 2 and Tier 3 customers, such as established commercial construction companies. While existing relationships provide a solid foundation, the successful candidate will need to leverage these connections to generate new business opportunities.

Ideal Candidate

You are a highly driven and adaptable sales professional with strong business development experience in industrial or heavy industries. You excel in communication, negotiation, and relationship-building, with a proven ability to identify and convert new business opportunities. You take a disciplined approach to sales, focusing on KPI achievement, price management, and CRM utilisation. With strong commercial acumen, you understand pricing, margins, and market dynamics. Experience in selling high-volume building materials is advantageous but not essential. While formal qualifications are not required, relevant certifications or industry training would be beneficial. An unrestricted driving license and own transport are required.
