The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Group Manager of Work Health and Safety, based in Brisbane, the Senior Work Health and Safety Business Partner will play a key role in providing expert WHS advice while coaching and collaborating with teams to enhance the organisation’s risk management and continuous improvement capabilities.

This role is responsible for leading WH&S engagement and improvement initiatives across the business, setting high standards for WHS performance, capability, investigation and risk management.

About You:
You are a practical, operationally focused WH&S professional who can confidently engage with stakeholders at all levels. With a strong ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity, you excel at simplifying challenges and driving meaningful WHS improvements.

As a trusted advisor, you will partner with operational and functional teams to strengthen leadership capability and embed best practices in risk management, investigations, and continuous improvement.

Your background includes experience in a WH&S business partner or advisory role within the blue-collar sector, along with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in developing and delivering an investigation framework (ICAM or similar root cause methodology).
  • Strong knowledge of WHS legal obligations across all jurisdictions, including codes and Australian standards.
  • Excellent communication and relationships building skills.
  • Exceptional ability to manage competing priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • A strategic mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required.
  • In depth knowledge of the logistics and distribution industry (highly desirable).
