Join our team as Senior Associate / Investment Manager (m/f/d) in Vienna

We are hiring an experienced real estate investment professional to drive the origination, investment execution, and restructuring efforts. The Senior Associate or Investment Manager is a member of the Investment Team, with responsibilities ranging from sourcing investment opportunities to closing, as well as supporting or leading on the restructuring advisory mandates of the firm. The target investment focus will remain Europe, with primary focus on Austria, Germany, and Poland. Possible exposure to portfolios in the US through restructuring advisory mandates.

The position requires very strong financial modelling skills as a primary requirement.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Actively sourcing new investment opportunities in targeted regions.
  • Leading or supporting restructuring advisory workstreams in Europe and the US.
  • Analyzing and making recommendations about the viability of prospective investments, projects, and business cases.
  • Driving structuring, underwriting, and due diligence processes of selected investment projects by working closely with senior management.
  • Able to prepare detailed underwriting models from scratch.
  • Leading or supporting deal execution, including the preparation of all required documentation including marketing materials and presentations, Investment Committee Memoranda, and financial analysis and reports with multiple scenarios and recommendations, if required.
  • Leading on selected refinancing and restructuring mandates.
  • Devising asset management strategy and initiatives that will be pursued during the holding period and supporting with implementation working closely with the Portfolio Management team.
  • Engaged in the fundraising process working closely with the Investor Relations team.
  • Conducting market research to keep updated on market trends.
  • Maintaining a strong network of relationships with stakeholders in the targeted region.
  • Representing the company in external events, including conferences.
  • Supporting with other tasks as required as part of the investment management process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, real estate, or similar.
  • 4-7 years of relevant professional experience in the financial and real estate industry.
  • Exceptional financial modelling skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Previous restructuring experience and exposure to loan documentation is a plus.
  • Previous role in real estate funds, real estate investment/development companies, or investment banking.
  • Sound understanding of real estate fundamentals.
  • Excellent financial modelling and Excel skills.
  • Competent in O365, strong PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Excellent analytical and researching skills.
  • Proactive and open-minded personality.
  • Curious, positive, and self-motivated, strong team player.
  • English and German or Polish at full professional proficiency.

Compensation & Benefits:

  1. Competitive salary subject to experience. Minimum salary of €60,000 p.a. adjusted for relevant experience and qualifications.
  2. Annual bonus subject to performance of the individual and the firm.
