Our client is a long standing and highly successful business, which continues to expand exponentially year on year. Off the back of this growth, a newly created position has arisen for an experienced person to provide finance support across several entities in the group, up to 15 companies.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in a team of 10, you will assume responsibility for the following:

  • Accounts Payable - processing invoices, preparing payments for review, reconciliations
  • Accounts Receivable - raising invoices, data entry in multiple systems, cashflow monitoring, bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Payroll
  • Daily bank reconciliation for multiple companies
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintaining fixed assets register
  • Tax and BAS reporting
  • Budget to actuals comparison
  • Ad hoc financial analysis
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Producing month financial reports
  • Responsibility for day to day operations of each entity
  • Support the finance team with month end activities
  • Manage and supervise juniors

Our ideal applicant will have at least 4 years experience in a similar role within a medium to large sized business, preferably with multiple entities. A tertiary qualification in accounting is required. Literacy on MS Office and Xero is required with at least intermediate proficiency on Excel, as you will be providing detailed weekly receivables reports.

You should be a problem solver who picks things up quickly and takes initiative. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment are also key components of the position. If you are a strong communicator with outstanding organisational and time management skills, you would be well suited.
