Job Description:

Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within teams. Highly desirable traits include experience with Laravel DMS, Laravel Nova CMS, modern frontend JS frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue.js), Agile/Scrum methodologies, and excellent communication skills in English.

Bonus points for experience with WordPress, PHP Unit testing, and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

A typical day at ID Digital
  • We begin with a concise team meeting in the morning, aimed at ensuring everyone is aligned with the day's objectives.
  • Following this, team members engage in their assigned tasks for the day.
  • Our task management and time tracking are facilitated through Jira, serving as a centralised platform for both internal and external projects.
  • Additionally, we conduct bi-weekly team retrospective meetings to provide a forum for all team members to share updates and insights on ongoing work and other relevant matters.

Skills And Qualifications

Must Have

  • 6+ years of experience in web development in PHP/Laravel
  • Experience writing modern PHP encompassing PHP7 / PHP8 and Object-Oriented Programming
  • Experience building and using REST APIs
  • Experience with version control - ideally Git
  • Experience with dependency management
  • Experience with build tools such as Yarn, NPM, WebPack, Vite
  • Experience with Linux server management, Nginx configuration and comfortable using SSH
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services' such as S3, EC2, RDS etc.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team

Highly Desirable

  • Experience working in Laravel DMS
  • Experience working in Laravel Nova CMS
  • Experience with one or more modern frontend JS frameworks would be a plus: React, Next.js, Vue.js
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Excellent communication skills, coupled with excellent spoken and written English
  • Experience working in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with WordPress
  • Experience in PHP Unit testing and TDD
