Talent International is searching for an experienced Data Migration Manager to join our government client based in Brisbane CBD on an initial 3 Month Contract + 12 Month Extension.

The Role:
We are seeking a skilled Data Migration Manager to lead and execute data migration initiatives within a large-scale transformation program. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless transfer of data between systems while maintaining integrity and security.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end data migration projects, ensuring on-time delivery within scope and budget.
• Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to maintain consistency and accuracy.
• Develop comprehensive migration strategies, including risk assessment and mitigation plans.
• Engage with stakeholders such as Data Architects, Integration Leads, and Project Managers to align business needs.
• Implement data quality standards, conduct validation checks, and address inconsistencies.
• Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes and provide regular status updates.
• Support end-users with training and transition to the new data systems.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of experience in data migration or data management.
• Strong expertise in ETL processes and database management systems.
• Proven track record in leading complex data migration projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., SAP, Azure, CDMP) are highly desirable.
• Experience with Agile and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies is a plus.
