Job Title: Senior Data & Analytics Engineer

The Senior Data & Analytics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining part of the infrastructure and systems required for data storage, processing, and analysis. The role is crucial in building and managing the data pipelines that enable efficient and reliable data integration, transformation, and delivery for all data users across the business.

Senior Data & Analytics Engineer is expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather & document requirements to build robust & scalable solutions to ensure the smooth integration of data from multiple sources, optimising processes for data flow, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the organisation.

Skills and abilities

• Minimum of 5 years experience in a Data Engineer or similar role
• Experience of translating requirements into working solutions.
• Experience with Business Intelligence and Analytics tools, such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Excel, or similar.
• Extensive experience in Data Warehouse structures, SQL, views and store procedures.
• Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ensuring that the underlying problem is understood, and a robust approach/solution is developed.
• Able to prioritise and perform duties with moderate to low supervision.
• Ability to mentor and train SMEs.
• In-depth understanding of the various software development lifecycles (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, etc.).
• Strong understanding of information risks, data privacy, and security guidelines.
• Enthusiasm, high energy levels and a good sense of humour.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive initiatives from concept to completion. The client is looking for candidates who work well in team environment and require minimum supervision.
