A leading company in the field of sports betting is currently building a central data science team in Vienna. For this exciting development, a dedicated Big Data Administrator is being sought who wants to help shape modern technologies in a dynamic environment. Your responsibilities: Administration, monitoring, and optimization of the Big Data environment based on Apache Hadoop in the AWS Cloud Management and maintenance of services like Kafka, Flink, NiFi, DynamoDB, and Iceberg Tables Deployment using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) Planning and execution of updates and upgrades Consulting Data Engineers and Data Scientists in selecting suitable Hadoop services for business use cases 3rd-level support through error analysis and troubleshooting Support in workload optimization, e.g., through query tuning Evaluation and implementation of cloud-native services Your profile: Completed technical education (e.g., degree in computer science or equivalent qualification) Experience in system administration of Linux systems (especially RedHat) Solid knowledge in setting up and operating Big Data environments based on Apache Hadoop Interest in continuous learning and personal development What our client offers you: An agile and dynamic work environment with flat hierarchies Diverse training and development opportunities within the company Attractive benefits of a large enterprise, such as: Remote work options Measures for occupational health promotion Access to a fitness center Public transport job ticket and many other benefits JobNr: 2813
