Senior Geologist

Matsa Resources is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Geologist – Growth to play a key role in our Lake Carey Gold Project and strengthen our technical team.

This newly created role is ideal for a geologist with broad experience in exploration, resource development, and mining, who is eager to contribute to Matsa's growth in 2025 and beyond.

Reporting to the Chief Geologist, this position will initially focus on:

• Brownfields development at the Devon Pit Gold Mine
• Greenfields exploration at our Fortitude North Project

This is a FIFO 8:6 roster, with some office-based work and reporting as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead "boots on the ground" exploration, focusing on fieldwork and mapping to enhance geological understanding from prospect to regional scale.
• Plan, permit, and execute drilling programs.
• Oversee day-to-day exploration activities, driving value and advancing projects through the exploration pipeline.
• Collect, validate, and interpret 3D geological data and models.
• Prepare statutory and technical reports, ensuring compliance with environmental, heritage, OH&S, and regulatory obligations.

About You

• Tertiary qualification in Geology
• 8-10+ years of exploration or mining experience
• Proficiency in QGIS, Leapfrog, and Surpac (2D & 3D software)
• Ability to provide a National Police Clearance (NPC)
• Must be able to pass a medical and drug & alcohol screening
• Experience in resource development and/or mining
• Competent Person (CP) sign-off capability
