ViewAR is a leading provider of augmented reality (AR) software solutions. As a Backend Software Developer you will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy efficient, scalable, and secure backend systems. If you are passionate about solving complex technical challenges and delivering innovative solutions, we want to hear from you

Responsibilities:
  • Implement and maintain stable, scalable, and high-performing backend services adhering to industry best practices.
  • Define and develop clean, secure API endpoints to support seamless functionality.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth data flow and integration.
  • Transition our legacy backend codebase from a monolithic PHP server to Node.js microservices to enhance scalability and maintainability.
  • Develop and maintain database schemas, queries, and data pipelines.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
  • Ensure the backend meets security and compliance standards.
  • Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and team meetings.
What we ask you bring with you:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Backend Developer or in a similar role within a software development environment.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js, following functional programming principles.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
  • Extensive knowledge of relational databases.
  • Experience using message queues (e.g., Apache Airflow, RabbitMQ) for task scheduling and event-driven architectures.
  • Working knowledge of Bash Scripting, PHP, OpenAPI and ORM mappers (e.g., Prisma).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS).
  • Solid understanding of security principles and data protection practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with documentation tools like OpenAPI, PlantUML, and C4 Model.
