ANDRITZ is looking for a Director of Engineering to support our entry into the Power-2X market. In this role, you will lead the Engineering team based in Vienna. Vienna serves as our competence center for green hydrogen technology, plant engineering, and project execution.

We are seeking a professional with a solid background in electrolysis processes, combined with extensive knowledge in various engineering disciplines. The ideal candidate should possess strong coordination and people management skills to lead a multinational engineering team successfully. Your wealth of experience and management capabilities will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects.

In your role, you will:

  • Coordinate all engineering resources, functions, and tasks for standalone green hydrogen projects
  • Lead various engineering disciplines within your local team
  • Manage engineering processes throughout the project lifecycle
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the engineering team in Vienna
  • Schedule engineering tasks/resources in alignment with the project plan
  • Present technical solutions to customers and act as the escalation point for design topics
  • Support engineering tasks based on your expertise
  • Develop cooperation rules, tools, and procedures
  • Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages innovation
  • Set clear objectives for team members and offer regular feedback and coaching
  • Report to the leaders of the green hydrogen business and the global director of engineering for P2X solutions

In your personal skill set, you have:

  • Degree in chemical, process, mechanical, or electrical engineering
  • Expertise in electrolysis processes and plant engineering
  • Minimum of ten years' experience in engineering leadership roles
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving improvement initiatives
  • Ability to consult with customers and regulatory bodies on technical requirements
  • Proven track record in team building and talent development
  • Strong communication, analytical, and planning skills
  • Fluency in English, with another European language as a plus
  • Willingness to travel up to 5 days per month

Legal obligation in Austria to announce a gross monthly salary of € ,08. The final offer will be based on qualifications and experience.
