Job Description
  • Implement, develop, maintain and operate the cyber defense platform according to our requirements.
  • Collaborate with security analysts to create new use cases for enhancing our capabilities.
  • Plan deployments of new tools, considering stakeholder needs, and conduct quality checks for a smooth implementation.
  • Support innovation of tools and provide risk-benefit analysis to the SOC leadership.
  • Expand the functionality of existing tools by incorporating new data sources and systems.
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams, information security officers, and colleagues from the REWE Digital SOC.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation.
  • Adjust services based on self-driven suggestions and user demands.
  • Ensure compliance of our tools for various audits.
  • Contribute proactive ideas to team discussions.
  • Foster an open feedback and forward-looking error culture.
  • Identify and report potential security risks.
  • Review and update cybersecurity policies and standards.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in a security operations center.
  • Degree in computer science, information security, or related field.
  • Problem-solving skills in complex corporate environments.
  • Knowledge of SOC frameworks and standards like NIST, ISO, MITRE.
  • Certifications such as CISSP/CISN, SANS GIAC, C.E.H. are a plus.
  • Experience with SIEM solutions, XDR, EDR, NDR, and PAM.
  • Proficiency in tools like Splunk, SentinelOne, Proofpoint, Cyberark.
  • Technical expertise in network security and scripting languages.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Excellent presentation and communication abilities.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Willingness to learn local languages.
