Technical Supervisor (M/F/d):


As Technical Supervisor in the field of Semicon/IC Substrate, you will take over the ownership of a process module related to Laser technologies, Lamination, Plating, Lithography, Surface finishing, Material treatment or Backend (Test/Assembly).

In the first phase you will be responsible to characterize machines and processes during the qualification and ramp of a new factory, offering you the unique experience to setup a state-of-art IC Substrate factory in Europe.

After the project phase, you will have the choice to move into the production, engineering, quality or product qualification/pathfinding organization to ensure the ramp and full volume production of the new plant.


Your responsibilities:

  • Representation of AT&S as a reliable interface to leading customers, key suppliers and important internal stakeholders
  • Ownership and technical responsibility for the assigned processes with strong focus on utilizing statistical tools, Six_Sigma and lean production management
  • Driving standardizing and process control, improving yield and optimizing throughput
  • Keeping an uptodate overview on state of the art equipment in ICsubstrate and screening of emerging innovative technologies in areas such as lithography, plating,
  • Protection of Intellectual Property (IP) and assurance of the company and key customer interests in a highly competitive industrylaser, plasma, backend, assembly, test, etc.
  • Follow department KPIs, process cost reduction, efficiency improvement and support yield roadmaps and plant targets

Your Profile:

  • University degree (Material Science, Mechanical, Electronic, Chemical Engineering) or higher technical college
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience as Engineer in the fields of IC-Substrate, Semiconductor, IC-Packaging or Assembly (2 years as Supervisor or team leader preferred)
  • Knowledge of project management, data evaluation, design of experiments and customer orientation
  • Experience in practicing Six_Sigma or other statistical and quality tools in process engineering and control such as SPC, MSA, DOE, FMEA, CP
  • Computer knowledge in MS Office (Word, Excel), JMP and Minitab
  • Good analytical skills with attention to details, "out of the Box" thinking and good stress management
  • Willingness to travel and stay abroad for working in an enriching intercultural environment
  • Excellent English and German skills
