Direct Response Officer
ADF International is looking for a highly professional
Direct Response Officer to join us in our Vienna office.

In this role, you will report to the Direct Response Manager and are responsible for managing mainly offline-development direct response projects from start to finish, and coordinating the components of integrated multi-channel fundraising campaigns for ADF International.


Your Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work as the liaison between international development, marketing, communications, operations, gift processing/accounting, and legal teams, as well as US team members in the development, marketing, gift processing/accounting, and digital teams.
  • Coordinate direct response communications efforts with European vendors to ensure all offline initiatives are ideated, produced, and executed on schedule and follow proper processes.
  • Gift processing: support where necessary to help ensure all incoming donations are recorded timely and tracked in the relevant systems.
  • Ensure all projects stay on schedule production schedules, copy and art review and approvals, and content development.
  • Ensure correct recording of all projects and timely payment of related invoices.
  • Support with proper campaign setup, tracking, and archiving as well as occasional copywriting for all offline development efforts.
  • Work with your team leader to ensure all vendors work to deliver the communications product according to strategy, brand corridor, and the highest excellence possible.
  • Reinforce general creative direction, consistent tone, voice and adherence to the lexicon and brand platform throughout all direct response communications.
  • Analyze and provide performance metrics for all key initiatives.
  • Participate in ideation and creative meetings and assist in identifying and developing innovative ideas.

Other Responsibilities:

  • You will be asked to perform related duties or special projects as assigned.

Skills You Need to Succeed:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word and Excel).
  • Knowledge of InDesign.
  • Knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce.

Demonstrated proficiency in:

  • Strong project and process management.
  • Organizing and paying attention to detail.
  • English and German (in written and oral form).
  • Multinational work environment.
  • Other languages such as French or Spanish desirable.

Ability to:

  • Work, motivate, and initiate within a team and independently.
  • Lead concurrent projects of varying size and complexity under deadline.
  • Work within a multilingual, international setting.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, marketing, advertising, or communications preferred
  • 35 years of relevant work experience

Work permit for Austria or EU citizenship required.
