Job Title: Inhouse Legal Counsel (m/w/d), Vienna

Your Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice independently to different business areas of American Express in Austria.
- Collaborate closely with team members in Germany to support legal matters concerning American Express's business in Germany and international projects involving Austria and/or Germany.
- Review, draft, and negotiate contracts and terms and conditions, handle complaints, and legal disputes.
- Monitor legislation and case law, and coordinate necessary adjustments to internal standards and processes.
- Work closely with Governance Affairs when needed to represent American Express's interests in legislative processes.

Required Qualifications:
- Degree in Law with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an international environment or within a US corporate group.
- Excellent German and English language skills.
- In-depth knowledge and experience in legal areas such as payment services law, consumer protection law, data protection law, financial market anti-money laundering law, competition law, e-commerce law, commercial and contract law.
- Structured, analytical, independent work approach with strong communication skills.
- Affinity for digital issues and processes, and a good understanding of business.
- Interest in delving into new topics and areas of responsibility.
- Confident demeanor.

Salary:
An annual minimum gross salary of 60,000.00 euros (38.5 hours per week) plus bonuses and benefits. Overpayment based on your previous work experience is possible.
