  • In our interdisciplinary research team "
    Experience Business Transformation" we focus our research on studying the interaction between people and technology. By using prototypes, we generate creative concepts and ideas, which are turned into practical and tangible experiences. Subsequently, these experiences are then thoroughly tested for their acceptability and functionality.
  • Currently, as part of an industry innovation project, we are engaged in the
    research and development of new and improved product quality inspection methods
  • Hereby we are committed to
    create innovative solutions for integrated realtime gaze feedback.
  • Throughout this master thesis project, you will intensively deal with the topic of eye tracking and the development of solutions for realtime integration of eye tracking data from glasses signals in Unity 3D. Moreover, you will focus on integrating object tracking data of an optical motion capture system in Unity 3D, linking, visualization and user interaction based on the above input device connections in Unity 3D.
  • The main goal of this master thesis is to develop a novel solution for integrated realtime gaze feedback using all the available information, i.e., product characteristics as well as eye movement of users during quality inspection.
  • Under the guidance of our team, you will set up a development plan, build the prototypes, develop an evaluation concept, and support the evaluation study.
  • You will learn how to evaluate the results and prepare them for further studies.
  • For the complex topic of tracking objects, hands, and fingers, existing software frameworks will help you do not have to develop them by yourself. The software is developed in Unity.
  • You will broaden your knowledge and skills in the field of Mixed Reality and User-Centered Design for virtual training.
  • You will train in scientific work and have the opportunity to discuss your experiences with scientific interdisciplinary experts from the UX and Human-Computer Interaction field.
Your qualification as an

Ingenious Partner:

  • Ongoing master's studies in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Multimedia, Game Design, or similar fields.
  • Good knowledge in programming with Unity, 3D, and virtual reality (VR) / mixed reality (MR)
  • Interest in the creation of scientific studies
  • High level of commitment and ability to work in a team
  • Good language skills in German or English (written & spoken)

  • EUR 890;
- gross per month for 20 hours/week based on the collective agreement, for a period of 6 months. There will be additional company benefits. As a research institution, we are familiar with the supervision and execution of master theses, and we are looking forward to supporting you accordingly
