The Director Sales and Service is responsible for leading the EMEA sales team, developing the key growth sales strategies, building relationships, and understanding customer trends and needs.

YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the entire EMEA region for the defined product lines and combined customer solutions
  • Planning and develop of new sales concepts as well as optimization of existing organizational structures
  • Develop and implement potential for improvement for internal processes regarding our service the customer/dealer
  • Regular coordination with Global Sales, Service, Market research, Operations and Dealers
  • Planning of regions according to market demand and coordination with operations
  • Leadership, support and motivation of the sales team
  • Manage regional revenues & cost targets by function Sales
  • Manage Sales product related regional investments (e.g. marketing, product launch, training)
  • Manage regional working capital targets (inventories on product level)
  • Manage product lifecycle and regional product portfolio Sales based on regional requirements in close alignment with PLM, with shared responsibility for implementation with Countries.
  • Lead, manage and support the LASM organization and develop an integrated subregional strategy
  • Manage product line strategy and product / portfolio strategy based on global and regional strategies with shared responsibility for implementation between Global, countries and PLM
  • Manage product and market price strategy for the individual products & solutions
  • Develop and integrate of Palfinger customer solutions aligned to our company strategy

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Commercial or technical education university degree
  • Several years of experience in sales of technical investment goods
  • Leadership skills
  • Entrepreneurial thinking and assertive sales personality
  • High level of independence and responsibility
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to understand and communicated within a diverse, multicultural environment
  • Ambitious with a strong desire for success while being a team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Takes responsibility, delivers results and has planning and organizing skills
  • Awareness of different cultures within the customer base, team and organization
  • Customer focused, eager to learn, assertive and passionate about outcome
  • High influencing skills, great communicator and negotiator, speaks the languages of the customer
  • Good MS Office and SAP skills
  • Fluent English both in writing and speaking (business communication) further languages are desirable
  • Willingness to travel
