Your Tasks

  • Legal Documents_
  • Draft, review, and negotiate all agreements and other legal documents on behalf of the company (incl. distribution agreements, agency agreements, vendor agreements, terms and conditions, etc.)
  • Legal Guidance_
  • Analyze legal implications of various issues and advise internal stakeholders and management
  • Provide legal advice on matters relating to company business activities, product development, operational matters, and transactions to avoid or minimize legal risk and to comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensure effective management of legal and contractual risks in all company operations. Carry out legal coordination in served countries and across involved corporateentities
  • Litigation / Dispute settlement_
  • Handle and manage all litigation, legal notices, and dispute settlement cases, e.g., contract disputes or product related matters & liaise with external counsel representing the company in proceedings (if any)
  • Licenses & Document management_
  • Obtain/maintain regulatory licenses
  • Legal corporate housekeeping incl. coordination of shareholder meetings, board meetings, preparation of minutes of meetings and slide decks for such meetings.
  • Liaise with public notaries, external lawyers, and government authorities in relation to general corporate and licensing matters

Your Profile

  • Bachelor degree or above from a reputable university (major in Business Law, preferred)
  • Min 35 years work experience in law firm, startup or insurer with specialization in corporate and commercial matters
  • Knowledge of European insurance (distribution) regulations and contract law
  • Sound understanding of insurance, corporate, commercial work settings
  • Successful track record in working closely with and providing legal advice to a CEO and senior leadership team, optimizing legal advice for business needs
  • Experience in handling ecommerce and/or tech companies as clients is a plus
  • Good analytical skills with the ability to effectively identify and communicate risks and guidance to others
  • Flexibility & mindset to tackle new tasks and legal situations with urgency. Able to get up to speed on new areas of law quickly and effectively, can collaborate and make recommendations in real time.
  • Communication & interpersonal skills in English and ideally also German, any additional languages are a plus
The annual gross salary on the basis of full-time employment (38.5 hours / week) is at least EUR 70,000.
